With high stiffness and low weight, the optimised generation of the ARC 1100 Dicut® system wheel lets you roll along in the peloton, master curvy climbs with élan and set your final attack at the right time. The agile wheel is characterised by both low air resistance and reduced steering torque. It can be controlled excellently even in strong crosswinds to fully develop its potential on hilly or flat tracks with tight corners.

The leading component technology by DT Swiss and SWISS SIDE’s know-how in aerodynamics give the carbon wheel unparalleled control and aero stability. The AERO+ carbon rim that was developed based on sophisticated, computer aided simulations and numerous wind tunnel tests is just one part of the entire aerodynamic wheel system optimised for use in combination with powerful disc brakes.

The ARC 1400 carbon wheel not only impresses with its medium-high AERO+ profile rim. It is extremely resistant against wind shear and crosswinds and rotates at top speed around the legendary 180 hub with aerodynamic DT Swiss bladed spokes. With its outstanding SINC Ceramic bearing, it ensures maximum efficiency and smooth running with particularly high durability. Excellent tubeless compatibility provides less weight, improved puncture resistance, lower rolling resistance and more comfort when equipped with tubeless tyres.

Technologies:

• AERO+:
The symbiosis of air resistance, handling and efficiency. – The optimisation of the wheel aerodynamics by DT Swiss in cooperation with SWISS SIDE reduces rotational and air resistance for low-friction acceleration and controlled steering behaviour in crosswinds. In combination with a larger inner rim dimension for wider tyres, rolling resistance is also reduced. Traction and comfort are enhanced by the wide contact patch.

• SINC CERAMIC:
The SINC Ceramic ball bearing, developed as a system by DT Swiss, ensures optimal functioning in all conditions with minimal friction. Particularly resistant ceramic balls made of silicon nitride (Si3N4) in combination with precision-ground steel bearing rings reduce rolling resistance. The sealed hybrid bearing is wear and corrosion resistant and promises particularly high durability. Each DT Swiss SINC bearing is individually checked, precisely adjusted to the tolerances of the hub bearing seats and tested.

• TUBELESS:
All DT Swiss wheels are tubeless ready. The profiles of the DT Swiss rims are specially designed for tubeless use. The rim profile makes it easier to fit the right tyre and ensures a perfect fit. The tubeless system of the rim consists of DT Swiss tubeless ready tape for sealing and a DT Swiss tubeless valve in a length that complies with the rim. When using tubeless ready tyres, a compatible sealant must be used. However, it is also possible to use a conventional combination of tyre and inner tube.

• BEARINGS:
Having learned from years of experience, DT Swiss only uses durable cartridge bearings without bearing play adjustment. DT Swiss hubs are designed to have the optimum axial and radial bearing play when they are properly installed. The correct preload of the bearings to compensate for the clamping force of the wheel mounting system is the basis for a play-free hub with minimum friction.
