Rear light, radar and dash cam in one: With the GARMIN Varia™ RCT716 you can fully concentrate on the road and your training, because the smart radar rear light with integrated dash cam watches your back in traffic.

Connect the GARMIN radar with compatible smartphones, Edge computers or GARMIN wearables and receive graphic, acoustic or vibration alerts about approaching vehicles. The GARMIN Varia bike radar acts like your digital rear-view mirror, registering several vehicles simultaneously and transmitting the data in real time to your device. With the intuitive graphical display, you have an eye on the traffic behind you even on curves, can assess their speed of approach and adjust your behaviour accordingly. The slim graphic is integrated into GARMIN devices on the side of the display and for smartphones it is compatible with the free Varia app as well as many third-party apps. So you always have the traffic on your radar and don’t need to give up training or navigation features.

The StVZO conform, integrated rear light provides additional safety. With its high visibility, it is just as convincing as a daytime running light as it is at night. The newly designed mount of the Varia RCT716 allows a secure and tool-free attachment to round as well as aero or D-shape seat posts. The beam angle of the rear light offers good visibility from the side, a definitive advantage at crossroads.

However, in case of an emergency, you can rely on the integrated dash cam of the GARMIN RCT716. It continuously records what is happening behind you and provides the corresponding footage in the event of an accident. By means of accelerometers, falls are automatically detected and video sequences before, during and after the event are saved. What’s more, the Garmin Varia app for smartphones provides a live video to align the camera. Saved recordings can be easily transferred and played back after the ride.
