LYOCELL/TENCEL™:
Schöffel uses LYOCELL as a particularly ecological alternative to conventional chemical fibres and cotton. The environmentally-friendly and resource-saving production of this material is reflected in the outdoor products and thus enables a further step towards sustainability. Schöffel also uses Lyocell fibres from Lenzing AG, which is labelled under the protected brand name TENCEL™ but has the same properties.

POLARTEC DELTA:
POLARTEC DELTA consists of a special mesh structure. For this two-component knitted construction, both hydrophobic (water-avoiding) and hydrophilic (water-loving) yarns have been used. The hydrophilic fibres absorb as much moisture as necessary for a natural cooling effect. The remaining liquid is transported to the outside, where it can evaporate quickly. This creates a controlled distribution of moisture, which cools the fabric in hot conditions, as the air circulates better and thus the heat can be dissipated more easily.
