As with its bigger siblings, the focus of the Rival is clearly on a more usable bandwidth and better graduated gears with smaller gear jumps, so that you always hit the right gear in every situation.
But, this rider-oriented design wouldn’t be possible at all without the Rival 12-speed crank. As an important component of SRAM’s X-Range™ technology, it helps shift the gear range from the front to the rear. Thus, all Rival double cranks feature a constant chainring spacing of 13 teeth, which results in smoother and faster shifting and always provides the perfect gear ratio in combination with the 12-speed cassette at the rear.
Specially designed for electronic shifting, the SRAM Rival crank not only scores points with its robust aluminium crank arms, elegant design and optimal gear ratio, but also with the possibility of upgrading it to a power meter with an excellent price-performance ratio.
